Chrystal Meadows

Chrystal is a Columbia native and a die-hard Mizzou Tiger fan. After 17 years of work as a travel agent, she turned to her passion for designer fashion and started Alex & Ellie Boutique. Named for her two daughters, she hopes the success of the boutique will teach them just what a bit of hard work and dedication can do. As the owner, manager, and curator of the boutique, Chrystal wears many hats. She runs every aspect of the business and takes pride in the unique products and experiences she offers.

Kacy Schneider

Kacy and Chrystal met in 2017 when Chrystal was working as a travel agent and helped Kacy plan her wedding. The women hit it off immediately. Since then, the two have been inseparable, like two peas in a pod. Kacy helps to run the Mecari and local storefront and is there for Chrystal whenever she needs. She has two kids of her own and works as an activities coordinator for a local group home.

Manager of shipping & back office operations

Jackie Alexander

Jackie is Chrystal’s sister. She works full time as a professional organizer, but still finds the time to help Chrystal with shipping and other boutique operations. Her support is essential to the success of the business and greatly adds to the family values and energetic atmosphere of Alex & Ellie.

Joan Miller

Joan is Chrystal’s cousin and has helped out with the boutique ever since it opened. Whether it’s shipping, delivery, or storefront operations, Joan always brings energy and positivity. She is a firecracker. She loves helping customers find their perfect outfit, and at shopping parties she'll become your biggest hype-woman when you're strutting the runway.
